Elgin Sportsman from (I think) my birth year of 1963. Thereabouts, anyway.
Was included in a watch grabbag I bought for nearly nothing, and surprised me by keeping pretty much perfect time!
Padded leather I had laying around to replace the monstrous little stretch band it came on.
Mayhaps I'll endeavor to make it prettier one day.

I love the 214270 that I traded my 1.1 for, but I really do wish I had more time with it. If the timing was right I’d own another in a heartbeat.

Thanks Paul, It's heaps of fun and keeps me fit. Early start I don't mind, it's the cold weather that dose my head in. Like I said were just starting to get into the warmer weather. Starting to train for the ocean races. Reports of a infant whale washed up on Bondi Beach today, with lots of shark bites. Might give paddling out of Bondi a miss this weekend, or maybe not, we'll see how the next few days pan out. J
