Same way I could never own just a single jacket or a single pair of boots, I was never meant to be a one-watch guy, and I'm happy with that.

Oh, and I'm trimming a few fringe pieces for a Polaris at the moment.
Exactly how I think about it. It’s very hard for me to think about the 15400 on my wrist on a daily basis. I’ll get over it eventually.

How’s this Heuer Super Pro look?

Sucks because as good as a daily driver as the 15400 is, the way the market is falling all over itself right now, it literally makes zero sense to even own one if you're planning on enjoying it.

PS: hell yes to that era of Heuer.

I like the idea of this thread.... for the first time in a while, I have no planned next watch and am completely happy with my small rotation. I’m not presumptive enough to think this feeling will last though although I may be good for 2018.

It does seem the APs are at a peak right now. Might wait for the next correction.

Thanks - love me some 80s watches.

Seems like my latest short-lived obsession with two-tone rose gold was a sign that I’m bored and just need to chill for now. Have a great rotation that I’m honestly pretty happy with.

Now that the 422 is sold, the watch account has some cash waiting to be burned. I’d like to find a 63200 or 63600 super jubilee to put on the BLNR and then find something unique like the Sinn U1 Roberto with the lime green dial or a Bucherer LE Tudor Black Bay bronze with the blue dial/bezel.

Great post. I recently sold off two kobolds and am down to 7 watches. My "next one" is a Pepsi 16710. I'd like to move a few more watches and get down to 4 or 5 at least for the time being. I'd love to be a one watch guy, but that ain't happening.

Since picking up the Pelagos I’ve been pretty happy with my rotation. At some point I’d like to try a 2254 though.

Tempted to make an offer. Seems a little steep to me but looks to be in excellent condition and it’s the Heuer dual version.

The only watch that might get me to bite is a 2 line Pelagos. It would require a sell off of some watches.

I was forced to pass on a "the next watch", because of a necessary equipment upgrade. Breitling Colt 41

Great post. I'm looking for a Grey dialed NAFT now, never tried one yet. Trying to maybe do a trade, Sinn 104 on bracelet for U1 on NATO or rubber. Long term I'd love to get a 42mm 2500D PO.
Regards,

Mark

Excellent question. I have too many watches as it is (though do enjoy all the mainstream ones), but do hear the siren song from a few out there.

Never had a BB, and the BB GMT looks quite attractive, especially at the price point. Will see after I can eventually try one on in person. This would be the most likely next acquisition if it sits well on my wrist (and hopefully works with canvas as I've heard the lug holes are out there).

JLC Polaris like Hoppy's looks nice. Will have to try one on to see if the size works for me.

Both the SS BLRO and the ceramic Daytona are intriguing. But I'll probably never get either because they are expensive to begin with, I'll never be able to try one on, and I'd never pay over msrp (especially $10K over msrp like they are now from the trusted gougers).

The Blue Sinn 103 that Matt will have shortly has always look great to me (keep missing those), and I've always wanted an Aerospace (need to try one on), though not sure how it well it would coexist with my Avenger II GMT which I love. Been very hard to resist the one Aaron has in the sales forum, fantastic price and beautiful version.

This is one insidious "hobby".

I know what mine will be: an operational diver, with a 10yr 5 jewel Swiss quartz, individually wet tested to 1000ft, with a 41mm case and a 42mm illuminated countdown bezel, in 316L stainless, with drilled lugs at 22mm and spring bars, on an Admiralty Toxic Rogue, coming in at 49.5 lug-to-lug, with a 5 year warranty and designed, assembled, tested, and serviced in the US.

The next one I’d get after that would be a mechanical version, fully American Made.

But that’s just me.

Waiting on the Seaforth and a Doxa project aware, then it's time to start purging some of the ones I don't wear.

I've consolidated a LOT and pretty happy. Don't really look anymore for the next watch. The only thing I want is an 18k blue submariner. I can wait 15 years until retirement though.

What does the consolidated collection consist of?
