Greg Stevens GSD 2A diver

Post by ericf4 » Sat Aug 25, 2018 12:08 pm

Dude makes a hell of a watch for the price. Custom strap included, high quality NATO which I'll never wear and a beefy bracelet w diver ratcheting extension. My Tudor black bay dark itch is duly scratched.

Thx Brice as always...you're good people.

I like the worn PVD look. Really well done.

Edit: prefer over "aged steel" look.

My only "gripe" he went thru the trouble of making a sweet leather wallet type holder for the warranty card but sewed it to the cushion. would have been way cooler if it was an actual wallet that you can take out and use so it's a useful/functional piece.

Glad it arrived timely and you can enjoy it over the weekend. Heck of a watch and incredible handmade aged steel finish. It’d have been a favorite of mine in micro land at 42mm. Only the size was too large for me and pushed me to move it. Otherwise I loved everything about it.
The funds are actually gonna go to another GSD Watch, his new 41mm pilot with acrylic dome

Enjoy it Eric and thanks again.

I’m with Brice on this. Really wish it was 42mm and shorten lug to lug.

Greg actually makes some dope looking watches. I love the patina dlc also. Just make it is smedium size and I would have one.

Here are the specs on this one:
Case Size: 44.14mm
Lug to Lug: Again 53.10mm
Case Thickness: 14.7mm
Weight: 5.3oz on Greg’s leather bracelet
Movement: Miyota 9015

One of our members here Aaron did a review on one a while back http://www.gearzeit.com/home/2018/1/28/ ... ens-gsd-2a

Super cool!! Love the finish and the look of it on the bracelet.

Cool watch, has a bit of an IWC 3536 vibe to it. The only thing I don't like is the movement, I would have preferred something Swiss.

With a l2l of 53mm, it's understandable why Brice probably felt it wasn't a keeper. The pvd case/bracelet aged look is the thing that stands out about that model...not available any longer.

The pilot doesn't quite have the charm.

My 3536 to compare against it. At 42mm, it hits the mark. ;)

It is practically the exact same size as a 44mm Luminor.

Yup. Wears fine IMO for me. I don't find it uncomfortable etc. The bracelet ratcheting clasp ensured perfect fit w no wobble as does the strap. No problem at all.

Wasn't up for sale. Was one of those dwc back room deals. Lol. It's a miyota movement. 1 second off in nearly 20 hours. Not bad :)

That's a cool look, not something I've seen before. Not a fan of the bezel going to 12 not 60, but  it's a cool piece.

And not something you'll likely see around.

Nothing wrong with Miyota movements.

I would’ve bought the SS that was last offered for sale if it weren’t for that 53mm l2l. I don’t love the lug overhang.
