I keep trying to bail on this one and wear something else, but Dammit i love how it feels on the wrist, My only gripe is that the lume isn't near as good as the other ATs ive owned.

Staying with this for another week.
Re: WRUW 14 Aug 2018
The movement on mine has been very acceptable. I'm not one of those guys who logs their accuracy on a daily basis and I've actually just put this on after a two week vacation where I took only my 053 and SLA017, so I'll have to wear it a couple days and report back.
That said, putting it back on after a couple weeks and I think back to myself "yes, this could be a "one watch" if I were so inclined".
The bracelet is the weak link, but again, I'm just saying it is the weakest point in an overall very strong watch. It isn't a bad or uncomfortable bracelet at all. It is Diashield coated Ti so it looks good. The negatives are it is a faux 3 link design (links are actually a single piece of Ti machined to look like a 3 link oyster style) and the clasp is typical Seiko - effective, but nothing fancy.
The Shogun wears great on a NATO (wear the lightness of the Ti construction really shines). I'm hopeful Crafter Blue will eventually come out with a fitted rubber strap for it, otherwise I might purchase a NAFT strap for it. The OG Seiko rubber on the Shogun is the more PVC-type material that you can boil to create the curve. It is OK, but if the NAFT rubber is like the SPB rubber, I prefer it over the older version.
EDIT - just to add, my watch was made in August 2014 (just looked up the production date from the serial number). Four years of wear and tear and it still looks good and operates as designed.

Never got a WRUW post out this am, but a big switch up (just to take a pic for now since I still need to take off stickers, etc..., which will happen tonight).
To get this out of the way, this incoming makes no financial sense at all--none. BUT it really is the only watch out there that I have been craving, and I was able to "cover" the price with recent sales and a trade, which also helps with my ever continuing consolidation goals. When it comes down to it, while the prices for this one will eventually come down (probably), I don't think it will be anytime soon, and I have no relationship with an AD to make an MSRP purchase a realistic choice. Plus, I paid/traded well over retail for the DaytonaC a year or so ago and it only seems to have gone higher (similar to both Pateks). Bottom line, I really do think this is one that will stick for the long haul, but as it stands I am way ahead on all past Rolex purchases and sales so if I do sell and take a big loss, then so be it -- I have made more than enough on prior Rolex sales to cover it. Here it is, the steel Pepsi--and damn it is cool!
