WUS post incoming.

Owned this U1T a few weeks now and I still can’t get used to the weight. I love it on the bracelet but damn it’s heavy! Especially after a day or two of wearing the Explorer. I’m expecting some weak wrist jokes but you guys ever sold a watch because of weight? The older I get the more I prefer smaller diameter, lighter size. Thinking about selling and picking up an Oris Divers 65 and a Tuna. Am I crazy?

Got stuck over in Aberdeen one night with delays getting home so I got pissed in the hotel and started looking at watches... In hindsight a bad move... Before I went to bed ended being the proud owner of a Zixen Heliox... Seen it and thought I love the styling of that I have to have to have it... Watch come I still loved it but it was like having diving weight on my arm... On the plus side it was good for 3000M Kept it for a while and then sold it on EBay to a guy in Italy who absolutely loved it...

Yes. I’ve sold every U-series Sinn I’ve owned because of weight. 45mm Planet Oceans too. I loved all the larger, heavier watches I’ve owned but when something had to go it was the heavy ones first. Since I wear most of mine on nato it was an easy choice.

I’ve bought and sold multiple U1’s. The weight was certainly the biggest factor more than size. Hated letting go of the U1P but I found myself not wearing it. Just never felt balanced on my wrists. Love the design, just not the feel.

I love my U1 but it certainly is heavy. And the way the caseback is domed so much it doesn't like I fit very flat on the wrist and is sort of top heavy. If it was flat I think it would wear its weight much better, who cares if it was thinner and only 200m rated or whatever instead of 1000m. Won't ever sell mine though just a thought.

The 45mm PO on bracelet is the only watch that's ever felt uncomfortably heavy on my wrist. I love the watch so I wear it on OEM rubber.

I don't recall having an issue with the weight of the U1. Wonder how their weight on bracelet compares?

Heavy watch on bracelet, but I get used to the weight after about a day. Part of that is it feels balanced on bracelet despite the weight. The U1 wears really well on NATO and rubber.

I will add that the weight isn't nearly as big of a deal to me on a thin rubber strap vs the bracelet.

I had a Ball Hydrocarbon Spacemaster on bracelet---One heavy well made watch but sold it because it was just so uncomfortable.

Despite the 42mm case size, the RGM 300 wore like a brick.

I will say it does feel balanced on the bracelet and maybe after a few days I would adjust, but in a collection it likely will only be on the wrist a day or two tops. Tried the rubber and iso as well and much prefer it on the bracelet save for the weight.

I have sold the U1 (pre-dwc days), Seiko MM due to weight.

225g on bracelet

I have wanted a U1 and several other watches that are similar in size/weight. A recent cheap micro purchase put everything back into perspective. I can't wear large/heavy watches. Good luck!

The weight of the U1 (and others) are part of their charm - I couldn't wear it everyday, but I enjoy wearing it on the days I did, if that makes sense.

This applies for watches that wear balanced, the U1 does, but I could not get along with the MM300.

My PO is 227 g. The U1P is 211. Both on bracelet sized for my 7.25” wrist.

My PO is 227 g. The U1P is 211. Both on bracelet sized for my 7.25” wrist.

That explains it. My wrists are the same size. My BB58 on bracelet weighs 135 g, about the same as a Sub. My Sbbn015 Tuna is my current largest watch and it weighs 179g.

Had no idea the big PO was such a tank. Assume this is the 8500?

A U1Pro on the stock Sinn rubber and clasp is perfectly weighted for me. The bracelet never quite gets comfortable, though.

U1 with bracelet is a heavy bitch. Mostly worn mines on rubber or natos before selling both.

Yep. The reason I sold the U1 Pro. If it was titanium, I would wear it a ton.
