despite what the watch industry says is trendy, does anyone actually own/like two-tone?
despite what the watch industry says is trendy, does anyone actually own/like two-tone?
...feel like I'm slowly warming to it, but literally never see enough modern examples on the wild or in the forums to call it a 'trend.' Bullshit, or do people actually like these?

Not so much two tone but I am warming up to gold or the look of gold lately. The Solar Tuna 498 and the new gold Turtle are both pieces I wouldn’t kick out of bed.

Not into two tone. I sunbathe in the nude.
No, it's not Tourettes.

I do. If I ever buy a Sub it will be a black dial TT. More realistically, a black dial Black Bay S&G would be a nice addition to my collection.

Can't do two-tone, there's just something about it. Like I'm settling because I can't pull off all-gold

Maybe it's a subliminal trend. I've quickly became attached to the SNE498. Only other watch that had gold (gilt) I've had was the 775 Naft. I liked it, but it got sold.

Not even sure it's enough to qualify as "two-tone," but I love the gold accents on this one. Maybe that's what was so appealing about the Tunas – it was a lot more subtle, and was largely confined to bezel and crown, which yielded a pretty sweet effect.

Two tone screams 80’s and not in a good way to me. I feel people should wear what they like but it is not for me. I actually like the look of full gold but I don’t feel it fit my style. I really like the look of rose gold in particular lately so what do I know.

I'm getting this when I retire:
There's a fellow on IG rocking a yellow gold Sub with black dial, looks really nice.

I'd wear a two tone Date-Just or Daytona...

I don’t like gold on Watches usually but TT have grown on me and I actually love the First B.B. S&G with the black dial.
The Mido is a looker too.
I do like my dad’s blue dialed Rolex TT

I don't mind it theoretically ( I have never actually tried to wear a 2-tone watch).
Reality might be different

I had a 116613LB sunburst and it was amazing. Wish I still owned it but it was too much watch
In my mere six months of careful ownership the PCLs looked like my milgauss after two years.

Something about gold edges and a black dial just feels right.

Love the Basel '17 BB S&G at announcement, ordered it immediately and got it in May that same year. I never liked two tone on Rolex as it's all polished and blingy, but on the S&G all the gold parts are brushed/satin finished and it looks gorgeous.
Personally it had nothing to do with trends.

While I'm not a fan of two tone bracelets, that watch on a NATO looks incredible.mui.richard.hk wrote: ↑Tue Aug 07, 2018 12:09 amLove the Basel '17 BB S&G at announcement, ordered it immediately and got it in May that same year. I have always had a weak spot for the two tone Rolex look. I have a couple look a likes. If push came to shove and I had to pick only one watch it would be the older version non ceramic bezel.
I have been wearing my Debaufre version a lot lately.

I don't mind TT on the case/bezel, but on the bracelet - forget it.

two-tone and all yellow gold dominate at our local country club
i dig rose gold more than yellow gold, and while not two-tone, i yearn to "lease" the yachtmaster with the murdered out bezel on rubber someday...
