Which 'smarter' titanium dive watch?
Which 'smarter' titanium dive watch?
After the great response I got to my last 'ti diver' question, I thought I'd pick your collective brains again please!....
With the arrival of my Sinn T2, I'm finding it more suitable for me as an everyday-tool-diver than my Pelagos, which I view as something slightly smarter really.
The T2, being slightly smaller and lighter than the Pelagos is more comfortable for me, so I'm thinking if there's a titanium diver out there that would be as comfortable as the T2, BUT not as 'tool' as the T2, so slightly 'smarter' ???
Thoughts/suggestions please gents

I'm trying to figure out what "smarter" means but this is titanium smaller than Pelagos, cheaper too

^^^I paid about $100 less than that over a year ago, so that price is just OK.
Nice watch, but it didn't stick around. The movement was freaky accurate though.
I say pick up and try a used Shogun.

A titanium seamaster would work. Or a Breitling aerospace.

Thanks I reckon you could be on the right track there. How does a PO (titanium/8500?) compare size/weight-wise to a Pelagos?
Maybe I 'pigeon-hole' things too much! But, smarter for me would be a watch that could be worn with shirt/jacket, whereas, something like my T2, being more 'tool' doesn't really lend itself to that.
I'd also say, that (imho) the IWC, nice as it is, with the splash of yellow, it's more sporty/casual!?
I'm not keen on the Mido and having had a Shogun before; I'm not a fan either!
As ever, thanks very much for the replies/input

Yeah, I had one for awhile. Very nice watch and finish/dial quality was very impressive for the price. Super easy wearing being thin and extra light. Kept great time too. Orange was fun, but I wish they made the Ti version in the traditional black color scheme. For the pricepoint it gives the Shogun a run for it's money, especially given the great bracelet.

Forget the Ti requirement and get a Speedmaster. It's not a heavy watch and can be dressed up.wadsy wrote:Maybe I 'pigeon-hole' things too much! I have a Speedmaster FOIS
Maybe I should just let the Pelagos go; keep the T2 for everyday and the FOIS for 'smarter'!
Cheers

i believe andrew's ti seamaster recommendation was not for the titanium po, but the earlier standard ti seamaster (2231.60):
thinner, lighter, and less colorful than the ti po

The Ti Seamaster 2231.60 recommendation is a good one.
I really like the Pelagos, but never got one as it's a little bigger than I want. My favorite tool watches are Sinn watches, although lately it has been my steel PO and whatever Seikos I have in the collection at the moment. Keeping the T2 as an everyday watch sounds great, but so does the Pelagos... keep both for some time until you are sure which one you prefer (and don't worry about scratching the Pelagos, watches with scratches are cool ).
