Thanks for the warm welcome guys! A little about myself... I've been pretending to be a machinist for about 25 years and I think I've convinced most people. Ive alayws loved mechanical stuff starting with bicycles as a kid(that one's carried through long term) moving through cars, 4x4s, firearms and whatever. I bought a broken timex autowind a little over a year ago at thrifshop and took it apart. That didn't go well but I've been hooked and have been pretending to be a watchmaker since. No one's convinced yet, but my watch box says I'm getting somewhere. Obviously I'm digging the Seiko divers. They're available at reasonable money and make a worthwhile project in the end. But I'm certainly not limeted to them. Lots to learn and enjoy!

Very cool! A lot of members here with similar hobbies (myself included). I’ve always liked that Seiko quartz chrono, dig it.
