Going to wear the Explorer again. After two days I haven't quite bonded with it, maybe today's the day?

I think it's probably just that it's not a diver, any time I've tried wearing anything else it doesn't stick. I want to love it, it seems like a perfect watch.
Re: WRUW 04 Aug 18
Since watch #1 is boxed up for service, and watch #2 all of a sudden loses 5min/day and holds power for ~12 hours, I think it might be time to obtain a #3. (Here’s hoping that the DOXA is just magnetized)

It's the latest 39mm. I think we have roughly the same size wrist, and I couldn't imagine wanting it smaller, it really wears perfectly to me. Have you ever tried on the 39? Not that I'm trying to sell you mine, I haven't given up on it just yet. It's a very svelte 39.

It really is a great do everything piece. I know how you feel though. I have had a number of forum favorites that just didn’t do it once the honeymoon wore off.jswing wrote:I think it's probably just that it's not a diver, any time I've tried wearing anything else it doesn't stick. I hear you. I've come to terms with being limited to around 40mm myself. I'm sure I could get used to 36 if it's all I wore, but I don't do well switching sizes day to day.Seppia wrote: ↑Sat Aug 04, 2018 6:38 amI haven't tried the 39mm but I tried the 36mm and it just feels fantastic.jswing wrote: It's the latest 39mm. When I see the 39mm I see an imaginary giant WRONG SIZE floating above it.
Not quite as bad as the bigger DJ, but I know it will never work for me.
I have made peace with the fact that I'm a small watch guy.
The SKX seems borderline too big to me now.

Missing an unidirectional bezel? Or some sort of complication? Beautiful watch, not sure it would stick with me.jswing wrote:Going to wear the Explorer again. After two days I haven't quite bonded with it, maybe today's the day?

If your not averse to taking the bracelet off, try it on a NATO (especially a shiznit). I’ve had mine for just about 8 months and I think it really shines on nylon. I had a hard time believing anything would ever unseat my Sub as the “perfect” watch for me, but I honestly now have a hard time choosing between the two every morning.jswing wrote:Going to wear the Explorer again. It also goes well with raw denim

That does look great, and I have a ton of 20mm natos, including shiznits, but unfortunately I don't currently have a proper tool to remove the bracelet and don't want to butcher the lugs. I'd have probably bought another sub but they've skyrocketed since I sold you mine.Chocodove wrote:If your not averse to taking the bracelet off, try it on a NATO (especially a shiznit). I hear you. I wouldn’t mess with it either if I didn’t have spring bar pliers. And I really should have kept your Sub. I’m now on my 4th and think I’ve learned my lessonjswing wrote:That does look great, and I have a ton of 20mm natos, including shiznits, but unfortunately I don't currently have a proper tool to remove the bracelet and don't want to butcher the lugs. I absolutely agree, it’s stellar on nato.Chocodove wrote:If your not averse to taking the bracelet off, try it on a NATO (especially a shiznit).
