New clasp on the Speedy!

Post by PGERRITY » Fri Aug 03, 2018 5:32 pm

Got a shipment in from the Omega Boutique in King of Prussia. The bracelet on my Speedy (newer bracelet with screw links) was either too tight or too loose, which was annoying because it became uncomfortable to wear. When I called the Omega Boutique the sales person knew right away what I needed and had the clasp and end-links in stock. She told me that they do the conversion quite often in the store. If it’s so common it makes me ask why Omega hasn’t caught on yet and done the adjustable clasp on all models. It only makes sense if it’s something done soooo often to their watches.. Well, after $111 for the clasp and $61 a piece for the end-links, it’s a perfect fit. The clasp is bigger and slightly bulkier, but still looks great.
If anyone needs to do this, here are the part numbers:
Clasp: 117STZ001154
End links: 11STZ000015
My bracelet: STZ004195-6

I did the same for the PO. It’s a great and inexpensive upgrade. It cost less than $100 for the PO.

It’s a no brainer! I was expecting Rolex prices for the clasp, $111 is excellent

Excellent. I did the same thing for my PO and Speedy and it's a major upgrade. Agree, they should should make it the default. Who does not want a little adjustability on the fly with a bracelet which is often hard to get "right"? The fact that Omega makes it so inexpensive and available is also great. Just a tiny clasp can be many times more expensive for lots of brands.

That's interesting, I never knew that. I had the same issue with Speedys, and always wore them on straps as a result.

It’s definitely thicker, but not enough to make a difference when wearing it. ImageImage

Very, very nice upgrade

I was able to source 1/2 links for mine and they did the trick, but adjustable is the bees knees ;)

It was your photo a few years back that got me to buy a Speedy in the first place! Haha

Nice Paul! Your pic of the Speedy when I messaged you a few years back is what made me buy my first one!! I called the Omega boutique in King of Prussia and they knew exactly what I needed, I’m sure your local AD or Boutique would know!

There is a thread on WUS where Omega owners have listed the part numbers for clasps and end links that work with different older models.
