Hamilton in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series

Post by AtomicTom » Wed Aug 01, 2018 10:05 am

Did you see this everyone? Looks like Hamilton's Khaki Field Auto
Chrono will be starring in Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series coming to
Amazon Prime video later this August.

With details about the watch including a 42mm black PVD coated
stainless steel case, 100M WR, AR coated sapphire crystal, cool
black dial with gray Super-Luminova coated hands, and markers,
red tip chronograph seconds hand, Hamilton caliber H-21, and
stealthy rubber straps.

Some pictures guys...

...but why does the '9' have to be so big?

Exactly...Why? Aside from this it looks pretty good.

Cool Tom. Haven't read Clancy in years. I'll have to check out the new series.

In the 2014 movie "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit", the character also wore a Hamilton, the black Khaki Field Titanium.

Unfortunately, it was only shown in a very blatant product placement shot to activate its "GPS tracking".

It was also inconsistent with the rest of the movie where every shot that showed his watch, including ones that happen directly before and after the aforementioned shot, show that he was very clearly wearing a digital Casio.

That Hamilton didn’t look too bad except that Hamilton wrote TITANIUM on the side of the case :puke:

I still like my old Hamilton Khaki Chrono. I should wear it more often...

Probably they thought it would fill up the empty space on the dial where there are no subdials...

Thanks Tom - I think it looks great (even the oversized 9) - My experience with Hamilton is that they make great watches at moderate prices and most models have better than decent lume

Good stuff

Edit: 30 minute chronos are kind of worthless, imo..

Hey, thank YOU Paul, and everyone just for looking, and for the honest
opinions as always !!!  :salute: Seems like Hamilton often has watches
in different movies, and now TV series. Thought it was pretty cool, and
is always fun trying to spot later on.

Am with you Steve, and think this might be a really good show to check out ! :)

Oh, and Maki57, and Matt, thanks so much for the info about the movie too ! :salute:

Chris, yeah, you should definitely where that beauty. ..Looks awesome in stainless ! 8-)

P.S. Think Carlo was right on with the '9' filling up some empty space, and
probably was just balancing things out. ..Just think, if there wasn't a day,
and date complication on the other side, there may have been a big '3' too !!

Apparently there's a shot of a CWC in the new Mission Impossible; read it on CWC's IG feed, but not seen the film yet.

I've liked the brand they seem to do a hard push to get into movies. Lots of models I like never one I've loved.
