Here is the 1:1 reissue of the Superman. Other than the goofy 19mm lug width I like it. Priced at about $1150 US (mineral crystal) or $1300 US (sapphire crystal) it seems like a reasonable deal.

Went to the site and it is all in French ?! No English version that I could find...Could probably get thru it using the Googles

39mm x 14mm case, 19mm lug width and 48mm from lug to lug, my kind of size.

and an ETA 2824 inside.

I do like the size. But....I guess with Seiko, I’m so used to seeing an arrowhead hour hand, the minute hand kinda throws me.

Wonder if it'll be any better than the embarrassingly bad Alsta re-issue?

Proportions also seem off, but if that's how the original was designed, who am I to judge?
