I liked the way he travel Asia countries introducing local hawker food and Vietnam is the best part. Remember Obama was with him in Vietnam local food stall. I also like his style when he trained jujutsu considering his age.
I would thought the guy is positive but ..... why?

He always seemed like he had demons from the past. Too bad. Enjoyed his show.

Kitchen Confidential is must reading. He’d been in recovery for years and had a poetic soul.

I liked Anthony Bourdain and hearing he had passed was like a punch in the gut. (I always used to check out his watches. He seemed to have a lot of them. Wonder if he ever wore a dive watch?)

That sucks. I enjoyed his travel food shows. I discovered some decent music along the way b/c of him.

I loved his shows & books, but he always did look like someone who carried a heavy load. Always sad to hear when it catches up like that.

He didn't leave a note AFAIK...wonder if the Kate Spade news prompted his actions in some way.

Whether he had inner demons or if it was something else...wish he had gotten help. It's sad to hear.

I know he was loved as was Kate Spade, but I can't help but think that the pressure of being famous has got to be tough. Yeah all are probably envious of Bourdain and his job, but if the show isn't doing well I am sure he feels the stress of staying relevant, as I am sure is the same for Kate Spade...

I am saddened by the loss and the trends of suicides in our country.
