Sometimes mattcantwin
I sold my MPP to pay for the Seiko I just bought from Todd.
It did not arrive in pristine condition.
Sold it to Paul; I feel bad he got caught up in the "mattcantwin mystique".
Duarte said he can do the repair.

That's a unique hand arrangement ...
Sorry to hear it.

Sorry to hear, Matt. You've got some kind of luck.
Re: Sometimes mattcantwin
lol I feel terrible - hate when that sht happens.
I've heard of others encountering these types of issues, but this is the first time it's happened to me... Box was perfectly packaged, etc. Hopefully it will be a quick fix. Really nice watch, btw!

For what it’s worth, this is how you do it. Open and honest. None of that “You must have opened the box wrong, so it’s your fault.” crap.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Maybe change your user name for positive karma.

Jumping second hand eh? Nice.
I mean, bummer.

Yep - Matt is a stand up guy, no doubt. He immediately said to send it back and offered to pay for shipping.

This could have happened if the box had been dropped while the watch was upside down... the impact could have been enough to pop the hand out. It is only pressure fit.
Actually this is how my first watch that I ever bought on a forum, arrived to me. It was a Seiko Monster shipped from Sweden, packed only in a thin padded envelope. That was 10 years ago, fortunately I had a leatherman and was not about to send the watch all the way back to Sweden... so I used that to open the back, remove the movement and pop the seconds hand back on after looking on the internet for instructions on how to do it.
That also gave me an idea that I could do this for projects... so some months later I started looking for tools etc.
