Responsibility
I know where I stand on this, but I would like to hear from you guys:
If a person that you sold a working watch to takes the watch and has it disassembled and then, upon reassembly, the watch no longer works, do you owe them a full refund?

Re: Responsibility

Re: Responsibility
No, you do not, in my opinion.
//
And just to be clear, if any of you send me a watch and I tell you I plan on opening it, I hereby absolve you of any responsibility for the condition of the watch upon (attempted) reassembly.

Of course not.
Re: Responsibility
Hell, if they even remove the strap they own it and no refund. Especially if they complain of scratches under the lugs.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

I can’t understand how any would have the bare faced cheek to even ask after they took the watch to pieces...

Tell the snowflake you are not Walmart! So if I buy a used car, decide to have the motor worked on by a friend, then afterwards it doesn't run right, I should then ask the original seller for a refund? WTF!

Re: Responsibility
100 % owned by whoever did the disassembly. You used the words “had it disassembled”, suggesting a third party did it, not the owner. The hands that did the deed own the responsibility, as well as whoever authorized it. It’s strictly between them.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Nope.
The person should work the issue with the "watchmaker". Even if the "watchmaker" says that there were damaged parts in the watch, there is no way to prove they were not damaged or exchanged by the watchmaker. The fact is, it was working when you sold it.

Re: Responsibility
If the watch was working properly upon his receipt then no of course not
A little more info and reason why he had it disassembled would help "If a person that you sold a working watch to takes the watch and has it disassembled"
