When does the watch division of Richemont go out of business?
Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'
as a fellow "bitchwrist", i find the 44mm case more comfortable than the 42mm or 40mm models. as with most sport watches that are thick, the additional diameter helps balance the girth and keep floppage to a minimum. plus the 44mm case just looks classically panerai.

Sure why not, 535 is a decent choice if you have to have a 42mm. Wish they didn't decrease to 100M WR from 300 but at least it doesn't have spring bars

Would love to try one of those.
Omega / Tudor / Rolex / Sinn / Doxa / Seiko
Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'
Are they all generally the same thickness though? I think I just need to try on the different options. I assume (perhaps incorrectly) that the decrease in size led to a proportional decrease in thickness too...?jtbenson wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 11:13 amas a fellow "bitchwrist", i find the 44mm case more comfortable than the 42mm or 40mm models. as with most sport watches that are thick, the additional diameter helps balance the girth and keep floppage to a minimum. plus the 44mm case just looks classically panerai.

Pretty much the same thickness at 16.7

I'm seriously going to hurt someone if we don't get rid of Tapatalk extensions, I feel like I'm on a 14.4 kbps modem

Going back to brand ambassadors, this is a watch I would wear despite Lady Gaga's association, not because of it.
At least with the Tudor you get a useful GMT complication (with quickset hour hand for a proper travel watch) and twice the water resistance.
Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'
I for one loved the dimensions of the 682. Was no where near 16mm thick and wore very comfortably with 22mm lugs. Sacrificed when I got the Aquanaut Travel Time, but I really liked this watch.
Re: 42mm PAM: 'hell yes' or 'kill it with fire'
Here are the specs on the 682.
42mm/14.5mm
51mm long
22m lugs
case is 106 grams
watch on OEM rubber is 132 grams
300m
42mm/14.5mm
51mm long
22m lugs
case is 106 grams
watch on OEM rubber is 132 grams
300m

Would that really stop you from buying it? Really?dinexus wrote:Fixed.
Do you think anyone is going to walk up to you and say “Tudor huh?, lady Gaga wears them and now you’re a queer bitch !”

I actually don't have anything against GaGa per se (c'mon, "Alejandro" is straight fire), I think I'm more bummed about Tudor making a clear split away from the interesting, unique watches that defined their re-entry into the US market, as they've clearly got a much broader audience in their crosshairs. But then again, the Panerai die-hards could probably say the same about the 42mm PAM, so who am I to judge?tattoo chef wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 1:26 pmWould that really stop you from buying it? Anyway, if a vote against partnerships that make no sense to the core audience means I pass this one, I'm happy to chill on the sidelines with my two-line Pelagos.

But does it matters if you like the watch?

Does it have to be a Luminor or is a Radiomir also a possibility? If so I'd look closely at the (now discontinued) PAM 512. 1940s case, 42mm diameter, 11.25mm thick, 48.8mm L2L, in-house hand-wind movement. Great piece, my wife has pencil wrists and loves hers.

Shit, that's real nice. Was thinking I wanted one of the newer movements, but now I'm not so sure.logan2z wrote: ↑Thu Apr 05, 2018 3:50 pmDoes it have to be a Luminor or is a Radiomir also a possibility?
