I just can’t understand the thinking behind these design decisions. It’s now the Big Wave ImageImage‍♂️ dial. Subtlety seems to have been thrown out with the bathwater by a lot of these watch companies.

I like the Certina - good price point.

The Longines is okay - just never liked that hour hand shape. It’s a bit too phallic.

It’s a very faithful interpretation of that watch.

I really think Longines is on a roll these days. I could live without the dial fauxtina but I like the watch a lot otherwise.

Longines Military Watch
38.5mm, ETA A31, blued hands, about $2000.

That steel G looks great. Everything else on this page 19, well...

I would like to see the new Omega wave dial in person on the standard blue version, but the others are just really bad and that new rubber strap is a huge step backwards.

I don’t care for fauxtina at all. But Longines has done a great job in the last few years digging into their past. There are many companies that could learn a thing or two...

The guitar industry has experienced a similar trend—regarding “fauxtina”—in recent years. Factory “aged” and “road worn” 50sand 60s Strats, Teles, Les Pauls, and archtops are everywhere, and I just don’t get it. 🤷‍♂️

The wave dial reminds me a bit of the old pan am symbol

The new FF Grande Date is 45mm, Ti, 5 day power reserve, and instant change double date window. Wicked! Didn’t see any pricing though.

It's about the only release from Blancpain that doesn't make me want to throw up in my mouth

I’d expect high teens on strap.

I don't like that they lost 3 and 9 along with a 6. Otherwise I'd hit it
