Does anyone know if the DSSD changed at all?
Nope DSSD is still on display and still KING Seadweller
Also, the craptastic hidden jubilee clasp on the 36mm DJ has been replaced.
Rolex wins this year.

Yeah those Nomos releases are really bad.I would have thought that after spending some time doing the Tudor thing just releasing the same watches in different color combos, they would have something interesting to bring to the table.
And as a big Omega fan... that wave dial sucks, the helium crown sucks and the rest of the watch sucks too

Hmmm... the tudor is the vintage pepsi feel vs the modern rolex.
I would like the tudor if the gmt movement worked tike the rolex, where the hour hand is adjustable.

It's supposedly the same insert as the WG version. Some look good, some look pink and purple. It's been a while since I've seen a new pink one, so they're getting better at it.ericf4 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:13 amPanerai7 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:09 amHopefully it's the effect of display lights. Also a new reference - 126660JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:14 amDid they redesign it down to the inferior specs of the SubDweller, or is it still adjustable without opening the clasp?Oh, and redesigned Glidelock for the DSSD as well. All the changes are win.
Rolex is unveiling the new Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea. It features a 44 mm case with redesigned lugs and sides and a broader Oyster bracelet, as well as a correspondingly adapted Oysterlock folding safety clasp. This professional divers' watch, is equipped for the first time with calibre 3235, at the forefront of watchmaking technology.

Re: Basel Releases 2018
I thought I read revised lugs, with the 22mm bracelet and redesigned clasp, plus the 3235. All of that equals gradual improvements to the existing DSSD. I wouldn’t pay a premium for the original.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:08 amSomeone on one of the other forums mentioned something about the old James Cameron version becoming more collectible due to some change. Re: Basel Releases 2018
I'd be very surprised if they didn't just fit the SubDweller bracelet to the new DSSD. That would be obvious cost-cutting, which sucks, but probably an upgrade overall.Chocodove wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:16 amAlso a new reference - 126660JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:14 amDid they redesign it down to the inferior specs of the SubDweller, or is it still adjustable without opening the clasp?Oh, and redesigned Glidelock for the DSSD as well. What's the redesign? it's the best clasp on the market for a sports watchJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:14 amDid they redesign it down to the inferior specs of the SubDweller, or is it still adjustable without opening the clasp?
Re: Basel Releases 2018
Appears to be have the same functionality. I can't copy and past the pic from the website at the moment, but looks exactly the same as the OG DSSD and they show it open.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:19 amI'd be very surprised if they didn't just fit the SubDweller bracelet to the new DSSD. I like both the Tudor 39mm Black Bay (as Jacob mentions, without that gimicky crown spacer) and the GMT model.
I just checked the Tudor website and the GMT model is reportedly using a Tudor manufactured movement. It offers a 70 hour power reserve and an independently adjustable hour hand.
I find this second feature interesting as it will make the GMT feature much more functional for frequent travelers.

Nope. No changes to the Explorer or Submariner lines.
I suspect we will see a new Sub next year.
Oh well.

That' a good find. The only thing Tudor could have done to top this year would have been a 40mm SS Pelagos.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 7:24 am
