Re: Basel Releases 2018
So much goodness this year from Rolex. The 39mm BB might be a buy for me. I’ll be getting the Pepsi gmt at some point.
Re: Basel Releases 2018
Tudor GMT looks great. It looks like a true successful concept to the mothership brand.
Does it have bare aluminum cockring or not?
Would love to be able to afford the Pepsi jubilee.

seriously, you are right, though
Re: Basel Releases 2018
All they had to do was take that movement, and make a GMT pelagos. Instead they decided we need a 67th Black Bay.r.palace wrote:Had a thread for rumors. Here are the releases.
BB GMT.
Good to see a GMT for Tudor, just not loving this one. Could have been executed a bit better IMO, bezel does look good though
Re: Basel Releases 2018
Pepsi lugs look ever so slightly thinner
Re: Basel Releases 2018
don't like the new wave pattern. preferred the old one by far.

Tudor GMT for under $4k retail is a winner. Rolex looks great as well.
I’m actually a little surprised they didn’t update the Subs with the new movement.
Omega to me is...meh.

BLNR just hung himself in the bathroom of one of Basel pavilions
Re: Basel Releases 2018
Have to see the Omega in the flesh to see how the frickin laser beam etched waves look, but the skeleton hands still kill it for me.
The Tudor GMT looks interesting, I like it.
The Rolex GMT is hot! Always drooled over the previous white gold version in AD's but the price was a non starter. Probably take forever to get one with the current Rolex supply controls and what will likely be tremendous demand, but it may be "necessary".

Oris bronze
Re: Basel Releases 2018
I like the Rolex Get best, however, jubilee bracelet not really doing it for me. Maybe it will grow on me , but right now, I prefer regular bracelet for GMT. Tudor has disappointed me with another black Bay, as stated by 3migo, put the GMT movement in a Pelagos!! That would be hot!!

Re: Basel Releases 2018
I put an SJ on my 116710LN and loved it. Price is simply too high now and the wait will be stupid.
Re: Basel Releases 2018
The Tudor is so much better on the bracelet and at $3900 USD...Breitling $7600, they just don't get it... Didn't think the waves would be as pronounced on the Omega...

Re: Basel Releases 2018
I like it enough to get it if it were readily available at a small discount from AD like a regular GMT is. But it's no Pepsi. I'm sure if they discontinue BLNR is will be even more $$$ and the chase will continue but a watch vs watch Pepsi kills it.JP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 21, 2018 6:25 amNow everyone can admit how crappy the low contrast black and blue color combo actually looks.
