Build your own IWC
It looks like personalization may be an emerging trend for brands like IWC. They've just released an online configurator that allows you to build your own Ingenieur Chronograph from a fixed set of selections and custom engrave it. I can only assume they'll be extending this to other models in the future. Here's the one I built (but didn't buy for $7300):

Re: Build your own IWC
That's one way to try to get people to pay MSRP. Another is by designing good watches - this is easier though.
Re: Build your own IWC
andrew, i think you need to update the shoe selection in the configurator.
don't get me wrong, i love navy monkstraps as much as the next guy (own a pair of crocketts in blue suede), but they don't match the watch as currently configured imo.

Unfortunately that wasn't an option in the configurator Pre-canned images courtesy of IWC.jtbenson wrote:andrew, i think you need to update the shoe selection in the configurator.

Pretty cool and innovative. Hoping to see more models included
Re: Build your own IWC
Really cool idea but pass on the cost.

When I can configure a BP without date or power reserve indicator then I might be a customer.

I like that dial.

Re: Build your own IWC
I wonder what the return policy is on a customized watch? I know that when you order watches online from companies like JLC there is a period during which you can return the watch if it's unworn. Not sure how that works here and I didn't see anything obvious about it on the IWC web site.

hahah maybe it will somehow work with their efforts on selling pre-owned watches?logan2z wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 9:22 amI wonder what the return policy is on a customized watch? Hope this works out for them with newcomers to the watch world. They can't seem to get an even break from the WIS crowd.
