Scratched crystal
Well this is a first. Scratched my 16710 somehow. Running about halfway across the watch from just under the 8 dot to 6.
Suggestions? Cost? Sucks.

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong

Re: Scratched crystal
$200 for a new crystal. Rolex will want to do a service while swapping, if you send it to them.

Re: Scratched crystal
except for the $600 service and the 6 months to get it back, $200 is actually very goodJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 12:03 pm$200 for a new crystal. Rolex will want to do a service while swapping, if you send it to them.

Luckily Rolex accredited independents will skip the service and just do the crystal. The real pisser is that most indies can’t open the dssd.t20569cald wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 4:40 pmexcept for the $600 service and the 6 months to get it back, $200 is actually very goodJP Chestnut wrote: ↑Wed Mar 14, 2018 12:03 pm$200 for a new crystal. Re: Scratched crystal
If you are closer to the East coast, you can ship to Sarraff Watchmakers here in Miami, and Ramsy can swap in a new Rolex crystal. They just replaced the bezel insert and crystal on my 16710 while refinishing. Several of us have used them for Rolex and Omega service. We can do a crystal for it with no problems if you really want it changed.

Re: Scratched crystal
Why I like the acrylic top hat crystal on my old Tudor snowflake sub you scratch it with a little polywatch it's gone. To bad polywatch don't work on glass. Sorry that happened I have dropped a watch once were I was lucky it did not damage the case or crystal but it did not do the movement any good and had to have it reserviced so know how it will hurt to have the crystal replaced.
