Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.

Trying to crop out my living room decor, which I lovingly refer to as “illegal daycare chic”.

Beautiful watch and gardens. I’ll be in Tokyo in June for a wedding. Never been so if anyone has any recommendations I’d be grateful. Thanks guys
This was my second time only, and I’ve only been to Tokyo for work, so very little time for tourism but here you go:
- definitely visit the Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden (the one in the pics).
- go near/around the imperial palace
- Ginza is the modern/rich/posh shopping area, never seen better looking department stores (among the best: Isetan, Mitsukoshi, Ginza 6) and you have one brand stores with lots of fun stuff (Seiko, Nissan had some futuristic prototypes ecc)
- definitely visit Senso-ji (also known as Asakusa Temple)
Definitely go to any small and nice izakaya (barbecued skewers) restaurant. They are small, cheap and fascinating.
You can find them anywhere, but in my limited experience the best ones were in the Yurakucho area and in the Shinjuku area.
Just a few hints but it’s a start
Thanks for sharing your advice. My nephew lives in Okinawa so he knows that area but not Tokyo. Appreciate your help.
