Heck of a random gift

Post by ds760476 » Tue Mar 06, 2018 5:44 am

Hi Guys,

I don’t post much, but I’m too excited to let this one pass. You know the old “I want to pass a watch on to my kid” sentiment? I was the beneficiary of that sentiment this weekend, from a blessedly alive and kicking parent.

I write this giddily wearing a 16600 that looks this it was worn about 5 times before it was declared too big and consigned to the watch box.

Thanks Dad!

Pics when I figure out tapatalk.

My dad once sold me a 20yr old John Deere tractor for $2K.

Lucky you.

My dad was into watches at a young age, but he was also a tech geek. So the advent of atomic + solar watches really captured him as cool technology, and he hasn't looked back! He's gifted me with plenty of G-Shocks or similar watches, but unfortunately no old Rolexes.

Congrats!

grats!

i love owning my grandfather's/dad's watch (passed through dad to me). i wish it was a more wearable watch for me (it's a gold omega dress watch), you're much more fortunate with that.

Wow - congrats! From what I've been told, I tried to flush my dad's gold Omega Constellation when I was three. No inheritance for me.

I gifted you a gshock as well! Although I’m not your dad... (at least I don’t think so  )

To the OP - fantastic story. Very cool
