It's evocative of a polished turd. I guess they got the message that the sand cast looking finish sucks. A mirror polish is all you can do when you can't machine ceramic.

That beetle rolling a turd around is cooler than this watch.

If Panerai has full on ceramic cases are they also polished or a la Omega. If Panerai is full ceramic and not caked on steel then why can’t iwc have access to the same tech since part of the same group ? Don’t know much about Panerai so curious how they handle their ceramic cases

I paid $6300 for a DSOTM brand new. And it has a ceramic crown and caseback.

Your move, IWC.

DSOTM MSRP = $12000
IWC MSRP = $5650

I'm going to go way out on a limb and guess that you didn't buy this from an Omega AD (if you did, I'd like their name :) ). Comparing grey market prices to MSRP doesn't really prove the point. I'm sure the IWC will be available at discounted prices from grey market dealers too.

It was an AD piece from a forum dealer, but you’ll get steep discounts on IWC too. I did think of this when I posted, but still.
