Sébastien Muller, owner of Brellum Watches
Welcome Sebastien. I thought long and hard about a Pandial with the group buy Eric put together but alias, my watch funds are currently earmarked for another that I’ve had on order for quite a while now. It’s a great looking watch and I like the matching date window hidden in the subdial. If my AD hadn’t told me he expects my watch shortly, I’d have grabbed one. Very well executed designs all around.SebastienMuller wrote:Thank you Sir, some people don’t like the contrasted date on the Duobox Classic which is for me interesting because it’s a function which must be functional, so easily localisable and readable, I have change it on the Pandial which have no contrasted dates, matter of taste..

Sebastien do you display at Basel each year? If so I'd be interested to see if any new releases!

Thank you Sir,Seppia wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 4:44 pmWelcome Sébastien, and congrats on your designs, they truly are classy and timeless.
Two quick comments:
I can understand those who find the new, color matching, date cool but unpractical: it’s almost invisible.
I also personally don’t like the thickness, as I vastly prefer thin watches. Question: is it a choice, or is it mandated by the movement?
Thanks
The Duobox and Pandial are quite high die to their movement, the 7750 is quite thick and I have made the decision to offer domed sapphire crystal on the top which give a vintage soul, I’m personally completely il love of these crystals, and on the exhibition caseback as well in order to give a nice large view on the decorated movement.
In addition to that I personally like to have a nice watch on the wrist, not one you forget after wearing a few days, one with a presence, who remind you every time you put a jacket, wash you hands, look at the time, pose you hands on the table, something existing on your wrist with character.
The next release will be probably much thinner, between 10 and 12 but in 42.50 to have, again, a remarkable watch with space to play with textures, finishings, appliques hands, play with light, reflexion etc...

Welcome. As Eric probably mentioned, you will get unfiltered feedback here. We're almost Dutch-like in that regard
But its all because we're passionate and want to help people make the best product. Or at least the one we like the most.

Hey Sebastien, one thing I'd be interested in. As a watchmaker and brand owner, what other brands do you wear, enjoy etc?

Re: Sébastien Muller, owner of Brellum Watches
Hello Eric,
I remember I was 13 years when discovered the job of a watchmaker, then started my apprenticeship in the watchmaking school of Porrentruy and went in Baselworld for the first time ar 15 years old. Never miss one for the last 28 years so my all life was influenced by biggest names of the industry, a bit like a musician today who were influenced by lennon, dinah Washington or kravitz, for me it was Vulcain, Jaegger le coultre, Lange or PP.
I have as well some contemporary genius watchmaker in head like FP.Journe or Berthoud who have all my respect
