I made that one. I crank out a handful of knives per year, as the work and family schedule permits. It's a fun hobby, when I get to do it.

Out of curiosity, what do you use for the steel? I've heard of people using old saw blades for filet knives and old files for thicker fixed blades such as the one you've got in the photo.
Seems like a cool hobby and one that doesn't necessarily take up too much room.

My name's Dan, been lurking here for a bit and I think this board is going to be a good fit... you appear to be my kind of people. I have an account at WUS and some of the rules and practices there have always mystified me, specifically the no guns in photos rule. I'm a huge gun nerd and my interest in both guns and watches has always felt similar to me. Mechanical objects, precisely engineered for a purpose. I have a pretty average collection, but I look forward to spending some time here. Here's a pic from my last semester abroad:
JK, welcome to the board.

Yep! I have the 4" PPQ with extra +2 mags . Far superior to the Glock IMO.Joeprez wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 10:41 amFan of Walther too:KidKeith wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 11:02 amWalther or GTFOBrother Rat wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2018 5:32 amHey all!

Thanks for the kind words. The one pictured is O1 tool steel, but I've used CPM154 and 3V as well. I order it in precision ground form, cut to length, and then grind away everything that doesn't look like a knife.Ryeguy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 8:46 amOut of curiosity, what do you use for the steel? Yes the trigger is the best feature for sure. Very easy squeeze and very consistent break. I'm actually a 1911 guy to be honest, but I am just a glock hater and just busting balls. Glocks are better than nothing!Brother Rat wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2018 8:05 pmI'm not necessarily a big Glock fan myself
I've heard the PPQ's have excellent triggers.
