Re: SIHH 2018
Logo models are getting in-house movements, no more 000 and 005

OK, I take it back. I actually love the Polaris LE and the date version. Interested to see how these look on the bracelet.

Looks good except the white date window sticks out like a sore thumb. Black date window at 6 and they'd be sethoppyjr wrote:dukerules wrote:OK, I take it back. I actually love the Polaris LE and the date version. Interested to see how these look on the bracelet.
Many will register, few will last
Re: SIHH 2018
White date window aside (I'd live with it), I like all the JLC Polaris versions. Too bad the Memovox is an LE, that will somewhat impact pre owned availability and prices down the road. Chronos look nice too.
All in not bad at all, as opposed to so many watch collection releases where I instantly think no way I'm interested in any of them.

It looks like a Hamilton.
Re: SIHH 2018
All models
Re: SIHH 2018
These look fantastic so far and a nice update to old.
Re: SIHH 2018
Not bad- maybe a no date sometime down the road--seems like JLC now looks like everyone else. Even if you didn't like the old crowns it gave JLC a distinct look....Don't think it beats the Exp 1on bracelet at 6500...
That being said, what's up with Panerai? Disappointing....

Re: SIHH 2018
Panerai is so disappointing. I really think the glory years of that brand are long gone, since SIHH 2011 or so.

Yep, Pam is going downhill. Hang on to your older models if you like thaf style.
Re: SIHH 2018
It may not be explorer killer but it's 41mm instead of 39 and less of a shiny bezel. And less Rolex attention, so it's a better watch for me

Gotta say, looks good enough where I just might be able to overlook the white datePanerai7 wrote:It may not be explorer killer but it's 41mm instead of 39 and less of a shiny bezel. And less Rolex attention, so it's a better watch for me

Re: SIHH 2018
Very true, Or get black or blue dial that's no date
Re: SIHH 2018
That looks really good, and I like the dimensions (especially the height), but I really liked the original Polaris and Deep Sea collections because they were still very much dive watch inspired and these appear to lose that feel. Seems more like the new Panerai's with crazy low water resistance. I understand the idea and I might really like it on the wrist, but I guess I like my categories less blurred.
Edit: Now I see that the date version is 200m. I normally like no date watches like this, but the greater depth rating and vintage lume pull me to the date version over the smaller no date version. Not 100% sold, but I could see my owning one of these at some point.
