Having a screw-down crown isn't the only way to obtain a high level of water resistance. Many classic dive watches (eg. Doxas) did not have screw-down crowns and were made for professional divers. Some dive watches allow their crowns to be operated underwater yet still guarantee a high level of water resistance. There's more than one way to skin a cat.Panerai7 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:39 pmI do take all of my dive watches to water. Also to me personally unless it's purely a dress watch a screw down crown is a finishing touch to any sports watch showing the manufacturer cares and attention to details. If Longines Legend Diver can have screw down crowns there's no excuse for JLC omitting that feature.logan2z wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 5:11 pmThe TTP 1968 was also rated at 200m, but I believe the crown at 4 o'clock screwed down. I'm not sure about the other crowns, however.Chocodove wrote: ↑Mon Feb 19, 2018 2:48 pmI can’t get past that either.Panerai7 wrote:200M "rated" diver with a divers helmet engraved on the case back on a rubber strap and with push/pull crowns is a joke to me. If the watch is truly water resistant to 200m with the current crown setup then I wouldn't have an issue with it. Honestly, I wouldn't care if it was WR to 5000m, I don't see any reason to take a $13K watch swimming or diving. Regardless, I don't like the look of the watch (at least in photos) so I'm probably not a customer anyway.

Re: SIHH 2018
I don't think that's the sort of brand JLC would like to be compared to.
Re: SIHH 2018
I still like the looks of the Polaris line, but agree with Andrew that I'd never wear it like I would a Rolex. I'd prefer the less expensive Explorer 214270 and believe it would serve the owner better and for longer without issue.
Re: SIHH 2018
That's not the image JLC is pushing with the dive models based on their islandic exploration ads and other BS

================
I couldn't agree more---As I said before, Would have loved a 300M Compressor- modify the crowns and compete with the Sub C.
