I’ve never had a Bezel or crown issue in my bronze Watches even with patina and being worn in the ocean
That's because you don't own them long enough or play with the bezel
LOL!

Bezel do get seized up... before joining WUS (way before joining DWC) I had a Festina "dive style" watch that I used to go fishing. Stainless steel watch and the bezel got stuck anyways (guess I should have been more diligent with the cleaning).

Hopefully a regular SS version will follow. I'm in with everything but kinda over bronze
Seems like they'd be crazy not to, especially considering that this is everything the Black Bay Chronograph should have been.

Both of my bronze watches because I don't use bezels much seized up beyond any force I could apply. So my advice is to play with the bezel often
I had an Aquadive Bronze that I routinely stuck in pretty much every waterway I came upon (dove with it a few times, paddled the ocean, swam in freshwater rivers, etc.) and never managed to mess up the bezel. Granted, I was careful to rinse it proper and give it a few spins upon pulling out (heh), but I think that seizure is more the exception than the rule here.

Toppers is taking $500 deposits on them and offering it at $4200 (15% off) the $4950 MSRP - still too much $$$ IMHO.

It'll sell out, but I agree that it's too much for an Oris. It'll be interesting to see where the prices settle on these.

Yeah, at this price it’s more than a brand new Speedy from an AD who discounts.
