Brit slang. Still keeping the three words beginning with the letter P it now changes the sentence from something good to something not good in a joking kind of way.
Poxy = shite.
Poxy weather. Poxy car won't start. Poxy luck at the races. Poxy job.

Every days a school day :grin:

And the slang derives from the word "pox," which is defined as a viral disease normally erupting on the skin in a kind of rash/pimples. Quite literally true for this dial. Though I'd happily scratch that itch. :love:

So an update! Movement was pretty mucked up and rusty.. ImageImage
But after a few go-rounds in the cleaner and some new parts here and there it looks fantastic!

Can’t wait to get this one home ImageImage

Nice. It's probably buried in this thread and I missed it, but who are you using for the service?

Just back in from service! I am thrilled, the bezel, hands and dial were saved and after a complete overhaul inside its running fantastically well. This is going to be a regular for me, as much as I am allowed to say that with my track record ImageImageImage

very nice work, a keeper. I wonder if the dial bubbling occurred after the water intrusion or before?
