Make sure you have your panties on when you apply the nail polish

You should have put your nail polish on more carefully. It's all streaked.

Put scotch tape on it, then paint your nails afterwards.

People are goofing on Eric, and this is a stupid topic, but nobody will be complaining when they buy one of his really nice used watches.

The tape is invisible and actually lasts a couple of weeks. It’s saved me a lot of work when flipping.
This is exactly what i was thinking as you guys were busy jabbing each other.

You’re saying you’re NOT a crossdresser?

You could probably use thinner phone screen protector material and cut to fit, but clasp scuffs don’t bother me.
Tried this on my GMT IIc but it slipped off as soon as I put a shirt/jacket on and gave up... The newer Rolex polished clasps are brutal for this though.
This won’t be a problem since Eric cross dresses. Those sleeveless tops and dresses won’t interfere.
I wear a singlet to my mtgs

OK, that’s a little :gayumbrella: ..... I don’t know what a “singlet” is.
A singlet is a very manly thing so should we be surprised?

I get it, and used to be a lot more OCD about it, but have come to just not worry about it. I wear my watches somewhat cautiously, and by that I mean I will take it off if I'm moving furniture, any handy work, etc. Scratches are no big deal.

I was fortunate enough to spend 4 years working with Industrial Metalworking accounts, lot of aerospace, bearings, very tight tolerances. I can assure you, utilizing cape cod cloths, various grade scotch brite pads, sadpaper, etc., will keep your watches looking minty when scratches come up, while not having to worry at all about metal removal rates. Providing it is done moderately.....you would never remove enough material to alter the case, and with some practice matching factory finish on most watches is pretty painless. Dings..... different story.

I have an old POS knockoff sub case and bracelet I test on prior to applying a rebrush to find the right abrasive to match the scratch pattern on what I want to repair.

You have an awesome collection, rock the shit out of those watches and accept it will happen...and it can be fixed.

I really don't care if something has a nice clasp or not if I'm actually buying it for myself. I will not pay a single cent more for a used watch with a perfect clasp vs. one with some scratches from normal desk wear.

Dear Eric

My suggestion to your problem of scratching a watch is to cut a small piece - the size of your clasp- from a roll of 3m shipping tape. I find this quite effective as it is not only clear but thicker than just scotch tape.

I wish you luck in your “I want to wear a watch but I don’t want signs of wear” dilemma , and I hope you keep us posted with the results of our suggestions.

Have a great new year Mr Eric 4F!

Dear Eric

My suggestion to your problem of scratching a watch is to take it off of your wrist whilst working. Just relocate one of your shower dildos and stick it on your office wall.
Could be this one

Or this one

This guy might work
Image

Well, seems you have some options
Image
-

Simply take it off the shower, wipe the poop off of it and clean the suction cup with alcohol. Find a good flat wall to stick it on. It should stick to most flat surfaces.
Oh wait. Maybe you’ve done this a few times already.
Image

Just be careful taking it off.
Ah come on Eric, I said be careful!
Dad’s gonna be pissed...

No, you can’t use the special one you have for when Tony comes over
Image

Or the one you bought yourself for Christmas
Image
What a mess

Now that's funny.

I may try it. Better than dildos. But that is Ben's thing.

Thanks to Dave T for offering to send me some product they use on cars to protect the paint etc. I'm gonna let the DJ be a lab rat. Looks like a flexible polymer of some sort. Ill let you guys know whether it works out. Then Ben can get his dildos back.

There is a pen made by bergeon to take scratches and desk marks off bracelets. But I find a small piece cut out of a green pad works better just do it lightly in the direction of the finish experiment on a watch bracelet you don't care about first to see if you like how it turns out before you do it on one of your expensive watch bracelets.
