G-Shock Breaks Guinness World Record...

Post by r.palace » Sat Dec 23, 2017 4:58 am

...for the heaviest vehicle to drive over a watch.

Watch in question is a DW5600E-1

Pretty cool.

I want to see a NASA crawler transporter roll over a G-Shock.
If you put a large switch in some cave somewhere, with a sign on it saying 'End-of-the-World Switch. PLEASE DO NOT TOUCH', the paint wouldn't even have time to dry.

Interesting but a 25 metric ton vehicle is not a 25 metric ton vehicle is not a 25 metric ton vehicle.

A 25 ton Truck with two axles and only 2 Wheels per axle would apply much more force than this one. Also I doubt that truck weighs 25 tons empty.

Yeah, that. Assuming a contact patch of about 10"x 10" per tire, my very rough math comes out to a ground pressure of about 55 psi.

For anyone who complains, put down a Rolex, Breitling or Omega and let a truck drive over it...

Then again, I think Nick drove over a BFK with his minivan... or was it his wifes?

So if I get hit by a 25 ton vehicle my watch will be ok. Outstanding.
