2017's ins & outs

Post by andy tims » Mon Dec 11, 2017 8:18 am

I'm very unlikely to buy or sell any more watches this year, so here are the 2017 incomings & outgoings.

First the additions

Not a planned purchase, but I couldn't say no to this full collectors set EZM2 GSG9 when it came up for sale

Then I got the chance to get this mint 3838 Aquatimer

Next my grail watch was secured

The last 2 additions were somewhat less expensive but I love them both

Outgoings - I decided to sell a few a as token gesture towards "balancing the books" given the Nautilus purchase

The LE MM300 & Pelagos were particularly hard to let go

This Glycine only lasted with me a matter of days

So a relatively quiet year in terms of watch numbers, if not financially.

I wonder what 2018 will bring? Targets include an Ingenieur 3239, Seiko Scubapro 450 and 6159-7001. The Seiko's have been on my list for years though.

Impressive, but I'm still trying to rap my head around the fact you let go of the SBDX012 .

Asking for a friend, post a wristshot of your Pelagos, wear something sexy.

Well I never?

Just done another deal. Collection arranged for tomorrow.

I'm replacing a watch I very much regretted selling a couple of years ago.

Pics in due course............

2017's ins & outs

Post by BacoNoir » Tue Dec 19, 2017 11:33 am

When I first started thinking about what I bought and sold this year I didn’t really think there was much movement in my collection at all. But then I realized there was more than I thought.

The money from this sale is in my bank along with additional funds waiting for a call from my AD on a BLNR and jubilee bracelet.
