What house? As far as I know they don’t even have a watch factory. Where are they built?

Hot mess from design perspective or organizationally? They are a long established brand. Only a few designs I like though. They should ditch the tubes on some models to allow flexibility on dial design.
Just organizationally. They had a million skus back when I paid attention to them, but now their release cadence seems to have actually accelerated with this new online pre-order system. Nothing seems to have any permanence in their collection, which drives me nuts. Plus, with the pre-order pricing dramatically devaluing anything they've done in the past (which is fine, buying used with Ball was always a better value), it definitely smacks of a management team throwing whatever they've got at the wall and praying something will stick, while royally screwing over their AD network in the process. Not exactly a brand whose values or distribution means I respect enough to continue supporting. Shame, the EMII Diver Worldtime was (and still is) one of the most interesting watches they've ever made.
I agree. The watches I've had were all very well made and finished, but lately they seem to be grasping for any and all relevance. It seems every week brings a new military unit themed watch. I thought I'd seen it all until they released a skin diver (really nice watch too) with a Coast Guard Reserves caseback. From a design congruency perspective, they've lost it.
The Devgru is another example. I thought the design was cool, but they lost me with the spec ops designator.

Goodness that sucks. It takes everything bad about the awkward Rolex DJ2 and turns it up to 11.
disagree.....not sure what is awkward on the rolex...??
Too wide bezel and too large lume plots to start. It's not like Rolex discontinued it for no reason. It was a mess.

You might love the DJ41 more. I think it's better looking, and similarly large.

The 2 looks nice in some pictures, but in hand with the 36mm and 41mm versions, the dj2 is somehow off. It's a great value though.

The day aperture in the center of the dial is a nice touch.

I tried one of these on thinking it might be ok. Couldn't get it off my wrist fast enough. Last time I ever touched a Ball.
