Me too. One of my favorite with the subC and BLNR. Not counting vintage Rolex
I like this one too, but I like the D41 much more. Both fluted and smooth bezel.
Not my photo.

The Jubilee looks fantastic on the DJ41. I came very close to selling several nice watches to buy the grey (rhodium?) dial.

This or the blue would be my choice. They’re beautiful. If I could ever get over the cyclops and general blinginess of the whole package, it would be the first watch I buy.

The indices on the DJ41 look so much better than the DJ2. That thing was a total fail from Rolex.

Rolex doesn't make watches for people like us, and I'm pretty ok with it.
They made a good faith effort with the SD-C and it was a huge failure. They replace it with the Sub XL and it's a huge success. The market spoke. Most buyers like watches that I wouldn't look twice at.

There are about 4 or 5 Rolex I would buy, the rest are not for me.
SUB C, SD4K, DATE JUST 41, EXP2GMT, maybe BLNR. That's about it for me.

I'm guessing that there aren't many Cellini fans here, but If I was getting a Rolex it would be this one.

I'd love a Cellini, but there's always something fundamentally wrong with them. This one included. Oyster case dress watch? Durp.

And see I think that's as ugly as can be. I also think most Pateks are hideous. Like this one:
Current
Alpina Extreme Diver 300 | Benarus Ti47 | Breitling Avenger Seawolf | Eterna KonTiki Super 1973 | Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic | Hamilton Pan Europ | IWC Aquatimer 2000 | Korsbek Oceaneer | Linde Werdelin The One 2.6 | Omega Seamaster 300 Spectre | Omega Seamaster 300 Titanium | Omega Seamaster 2531.80 | Omega Speedmaster Broad Arrow | Panerai 005 | Rolex Deepsea | Steinhart Nav-B 6497 | Steinhart Ocean Vintage Military | Stowa Seatime | Zenith El Primero Stratos
Incoming
Considering
PAM 422 | AP Royal Oak 15400 Silver | Rolex Explorer II 42mm Polar | Omega PO 8500 XL
Sometimes it's easier just to watch

Those Pateks with a crown guard ARE hideous. PP is no longer the bastion of good taste that they were 10 or 15 years ago.

And those are like $50k. If someone gave one to me, I wouldn't wear it. Unless they gave me the watch AND $50k on the condition I had to wear it. Then, I guess I would. But I'd wear it while doing yard work when I didn't want anyone else to see.

Don't forget the six month (at least) time to service at a cost of $X,000... which needs to happen approximately every three years. I'd love a haute perpetual calendar but holy hell that's an impractical ownership experience!

Sounds like owning a Lamborghini. At least with one of those, you could get laid just on sight for having it. You'd do better with a Submariner than a Patek.

I was told by a Ball rep that the blue and white tubes are dimmer color options.
Despite the Rolex alternatives, I'm still considering the Legend.

I've got blue balls, er the blue ball on order.
I do love this one though

If it had baton hour markers only I’d have ordered it for sure. Not sure I can do the squared large numerals

I passed on the Legend; not my favorite handset.
Like the Challenger handset and dial, congrats Caesar.
