Let's see what you added to the collection this year
Since the year is about up what did you ad to your collection next year mite be a slow year for me since vintage stuff cost to much these days. I had a good year due to deals and every year there less. Here are three I did not plan on but the price was so good I could not pass up.
Got this from the Czech Republic for a great price
A Zenith Special Cir. 1930's a great size
Another Zenith issued to the US Army Signal Corps could of been issued to Pilots in WW1 still doing home work on that just spotted on EBay under the market value and I did a best offer a great deal was not looking for it but could not pass it up.
And this a Chelsea Maritime Commission Ships clock. I got this at a auction in Bozeman for a low ball max bid first auction I checked out local. The next two I wanted for a while and all ways searched until I found a deal I could afford and got them under marked value
Got this RAF clock on British Ebay been on the hunt for a few years on this one.
And this the last one of the year a Junghans Bund been wanting one for a while if it was not for the price of what they went for when I got my Heuer bund years ago I mite not of bought it. I mite be done the prices of vintage is just to much for me these days but if it was not for some lucky deals I would not of had such a good year. Let's see what you forum members added this year.

Dam forgot one this Italian Navy Lemania Deck clock really don't know if I got a deal on this one since not many come up for sale to figure a fair price. It was just cool and different.
Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
I must have bought 25 or more watches this year alone, this being one of them.

Honestly, I can't remember. Maybe my NOS Daytona and 16610LV maybe???
It seems like I haven't bought anything in ages.

Slow year for me. Just this.

So far, I’ve kept nothing I bought this year. But I did have the pleasure of owning these.

Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
I came into the year with one already paid for Kickstarter watch incoming. Fairly unsure if I would do anything else.
It’s ok. But on the chopping block to help cover the new purchase.
Then some inheritance money came in. Wasn’t sure what I wanted. Waffled around a bunch of things. Then remembered that white PO mod lived at DWC. Asked who had it and Jason was looking to sell. So...
Then the seaforth came about and I got a bonus for an internal company award at the same time (timing is everything).
Thought that would be it for the year. But I’ve always had a sinn 556i in the back of my mind. And while I liked the anniversary gray and browns, the new blue got me. So I ordered tonight and have an incoming. Which means I finally have to go sell all the inexpensive watches ive been meaning to sell to clear out the watch box a bit to make it a relatively even cash swap.

Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
Last year was busy and overwhelmingly vintage, so this has largely been my gap year to enjoy modern a little more. I picked up three of the great new releases from Basel. A Moonwatch found a good home and stayed, making way for the new Autavia.
Thanks to Chris for making No. 2 my first Sinn.
More as a surprise, my outreach to Chino in early Feb for a JDM preorder paid off, and I snagged an SBDX019 in July.
Each has become a favorite and will be great long-term.

Flipped a bunch. These are the ones I still have. I have every intention of the Ball being a long termer. The rest we’ll see.

Man, I was on a roll this year! I found the Sub C to be really comfortable on the wrist, and it is the watch I'm wearing most right now. Let's see what 2018 brings!!

I added these
Not sure if these count here.
Then ended up selling everything but the 777 and the Apple Watch and picked up this which is a strong contender for my favorite watch. Pretty slow year now that I look back on it but the pieces have been quality. Will try to add a Speedmaster at some point and dare I say I might be done?

Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
Two for me
Sinn UX Hydro. Love this watch and wear it more than any other. It's my first Sinn but more will follow. That said every once in a while I consider letting it go so I can try a Pelagos.
Yellow SKX. I'd want one for a while. I wish the hands where black like the marker surrounds instead of silver.
Nothing left, I did half heartedly attempted to sell a couple locally.

Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
Plan for 2017 was to finally sell some watches and get one or two that I really wanted. Ended up selling 5 watches.
However, with best laid plans and all, ended up with one more than I started with.
Wanted a blue watch, and the Oris fit the bill. Like everything about it, except I'm not a big fan of aluminum bezel inserts. Really enjoy it on blue straps, but may not make for the long haul.
This was unexpected and my first Breitling. Tried it on at an AD we just happened to wander into that was ending its B'ling relationship and loved it. Could not pass up the deal. Strangely, one of my favorite watches. Still get excited when I put it on. Keeper.
Wanted this one forever. Found a great deal and could not pass it up. Still as enjoyable to put on as the day I got it. Going nowhere.
This was a one too many glasses of wine "add to cart!". However, really like it. Appears well made, always liked orange (this certainly fits that bill) and great size. Ridiculously accurate so far. Wonderful for a change of pace. Not going anywhere.
Another intoxicated pre-order buy, wanted an orange dial watch and Doxa's wear a bit big for me. I like it, nice finish and dial, the dome is really cool, though the reflections drive me a bit crazy. Would be willing to part with it.
This one was also unexpected. Sold my U2, which I really liked, to partially fund it. Never liked the U1 that much, but this one was really intriguing, so went for it. Absolutely love it. Yeah, it's a diver like the rest, but feels so different from all my others in a great way. Always anxious to put it back on, so yep, it's staying for most likely a very long time

Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
Got a bit of inheritance myself earlier this year. I could've bought a Sinn U1 but I bought a fat bike and $1000+ worth of Yakima racks for my Pathfinder. The Fullswing bike rack and Megawarrior basket makes the weekend trips to the lake house smooth (2 adults, 2 kids, 2 dogs, various toys)
I did pick up two, tho. Lots of DWC DNA on these. Ryeguy got the KonTiki from someone here last year and my Jedi mind tricks finally worked. The 777 is from Joeprez (and don't forget Terry's awesome Shiznit)

At least I don't feel alone in this habit of buying watches looks like a lot of you had a good year. A little slow getting back to this thread we lost power for about 8 hours during a small snow storm the other day the house got really cold just glad to have the heat back.
Re: Let's see what you added to the collection this year
Goose egg this year. Enjoying what I have... Now, if we're talking guns that's another thread.
