I think I might need this and move my 42mm model along.

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
^^^ Looks great, Hamilton did a nice job on that reissue.
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
Thanks to Jeff, now I can enjoy this re-issue.
Having spent the last 24 hours with it, some quick thoughts:
1. Very thin and light. Making wearing it on nato a dream.
2. Decent time keeping. +1 so far.
3. The lugs are a tad too long for my liking, but it adds visual presence of a bigger watch.
4. Very hard to photograph with my iPhone.

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
I have wanted one of these for a long while, but the faux vintage lume on the reissue puts me off. In the interim I picked up a Glycine combat which I am really enjoying.
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
48 grams head only. Love it!
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
If only Glycine were to make a 39-40mm Combat 6, with the black date wheel and the 3 taken off, they would have a dynamite watch. The 43mm version is just a wee bit too big, for me.
I have an admitted fondness for 38-40mm.

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
It looks much better than the bright white of the date version IMO, it's really well done. It looks like nicely aged tritium, but not overdone, and it's actually brighter and longer lasting than the white lume on the other versions.
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
They made a 40mm version with no date and Hesalite crystal. It’s called the Combat 7 Vintage and also has drilled lugs and 20mm lug width.Denizen wrote:If only Glycine were to make a 39-40mm Combat 6, with the black date wheel and the 3 taken off, they would have a dynamite watch. I looked at the Glycine's current lineup as well as on Ebay for models which they may recently discontinued which are still being sold.hoppyjr wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2018 5:06 amThey made a 40mm version with no date and Hesalite crystal. They have a Combat 7 Vintage w/sapphire and is their equivalent to the Hamilton reissue but at 42mm. That might interest those who want this style field watch, but need a little bigger than 38mm. Maybe you?
I 'm looking for a date version of this watch now...something no bigger than 40mm with black date wheel, sapphire, with baton or 'Hamilton' type hands suitable for field watch use. Cathedral or Submariner military hands won't do.

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
Interesting - looks like there's also going to be a brown dial option.

Just a heads up, but there's one for sale on MWR (no affiliation). Don't know what these are going for brand new, so not sure if his asking price is reasonable.

$475 new. Out of curiosity, what's he asking? I'm not a member there.Steve O. wrote:Just a heads up, but there's one for sale on MWR (no affiliation). Don't know what these are going for brand new, so not sure if his asking price is reasonable.
