New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
Nice to see this come out again. 38mm is ideal...these watches were never meant to be 'modern sized'. And when they do go bigger, then you run into the date window thingie.
The fact that this doesn't have a date means it can go bigger with less headache, but again, why?
2801 is norm for the course. Reasonably priced comparitvely so if Hamilton does well with this, good for them.

Definitely on my short list. The value for dollar on the Khaki line is amazing imo. Can’t wait to see these in the flesh.

Like this one but i have the older Timex version, http://www.thedivewatchconnection.com/f ... y#p1127420
Watch collector since 1989
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
Looks close to the original good they did not put a stupid date window that was not in the original like all watch co do with there remake. Here is my original Paul gave me some years back.
Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
Timex needs to reissue that watch as an auto.

Timex puts out a few decent pieces. The thing that makes me pause is the Inidiglo feature. It puts me off for some unexplained reason.

Merry Christmas everyone!
I believe it will be one of the nicest and most affordable reissue watches ever !
As for the size it doesn't wear small
It wears at least 40mm
Here it is compared with a seiko skx007 42mm watch
And wristshots on my 16.5 cm wrist
The only downside imho is curved sapphire without ar coating.

Re: New Hamilton Khaki Field Reissue
I think I may need the reissue - I’ve always like their field watch line. My friend has the auto version and it’s just a classic look.
Not a big fan of the strap though - the leather keepers, specifically. Just a plain NATO or leather strap would be killer.

I got mine from my Seiko (and Hamilton) dealer in Japan, but they should be in the US next month. I can PM you the Japan dealer info if you want.

Yeah, I wasn't surprised till I saw yours was in the US, since they shipped at the same time. Doesn't matter, I assume it'll be here this week. I just bought a Toxic Shiznit Jungle Green for it, although now seeing these pics I actually kind of like the look of the OEM nato too.

Cold cold cold. Snowy too. Ran to GR yesterday and the 45m drive took hour and a half so many people in the ditch.
