I think it's super awesome that Terry posts stuff like this, even though he runs his own web store.

I'm curious as to if they are like the inexpensive generic ones you see everywhere (the ones with the square keepers that are too big), or are something truly new.

Hard for me to compare as I've had limited exposure to others. My only comparison would be the Watch Gecko version and I've had one or two original tropics. I prefer the Uncle Seiko to either of those. I prefer it to originals because it feels sturdier, but it also looks more like an original than others I have seen. It does only have one keeper, but I prefer one larger keeper to two skinny ones. At any rate, I took a couple quick shots of mine.

He delivers a very nice product for a reasonable amount of money. I can't wait until his 6309/SRP jubilees are available.

I can tell you that the ones Larry sells are not rebadged straps. He actually had molds made for them and did all the work to get the best rubber possible for the price.

Me either. He says they are gonna taper down like the original bracelets which were 16mm. That might work out pretty sweet. :salute:

Does anyone have an experience with their waffle strap? Hoping it is equally as supple as the tropic.

I've got one. It's not a super supple rubber, to be honest.

I heard the same thing. Maybe you can put it in boiling water to loosen it up?

The styling and quality appears to be closer to the original Tropics than the ones I mentioned before. Not sure about the "Uncle Seiko" and "Uncle" brandings on the buckle and strap though.

I had a tire tread repo on a 6309 diver. While nice, it was not supple at all. Moved it on.

I’m in for a couple. Love the Tropic look and feel, and actual rubber will be nice compared to the other knockoffs and cheap Seiko silicon. :salute:

They look badass on a Rolex!
The US tropic is a great modern version of the original, its thicker and only tappers to 18 mm on the 20mm strap.

Received the Uncle Seiko Tropics, and they are impressive! No rubber odor, no lint, nice textured exterior, and brushed stainless buckle without any logo. Only the underside of the buckle is marked "Uncle Seiko" and the "UNcLE" branding to replace "TRopIC" at the lugs. These are going to be a hit for Larry.
