MKII Gen 3 Paradive movement --cheaper !!!

Post by sukUbus » Sat Nov 18, 2017 9:46 pm

Hey all....
Saw some pics of the old Benrus military watches which then prompted me to go over to the MKii site. They are making the Paradive Gen 3 with same specs as the first Paradives but with a different movement. The movement is a Japanese "SII NE 15" which I have never heard of. Price is $895 . The watch looks identical to the first edition . Any history on this movement ?? Also why doesn't the guy make more of the Paradives?? They sound like a quality watch and seem to be in demand....
Watch is available for this December ....

That’s a Seiko 6R15 (sold outside Seiko to third parties as SII NE15). Same movement issues apply, presumably.

Watch supposedly has the dimensions of the Paradive (a 300M watch), but is rated to 200M. Either its thinner, cheezier made, or the specs are wrong.

Do these watches actually get pressure tested? I think it's all just a guess.

The watches are patience tested to 7 years. Apparently they pass with flying colors.
