New Orleans Stores

Post by SuburbanDiver » Thu Nov 09, 2017 2:24 pm

I’ll be in NOLA in December and wondering if there are any good vintage and/or boutiques worth a visit? It’s always good to get away from Bourbon street if possible.

Was in the French Quarter a few years ago, turned around and was staring at a vintage Zenith El Premiro in a store front window. Turned out to be a cool shop specializing in vintage watches. As I recall, they had a lot of interesting pieces, but pricing was on the high side. I'll be damned if I can remember the name of the shop though.

lived in NOLA x 4 yrs back in the late 90's... French Quarter : Royal St is famous for it's antique stores...
Bourbon is nothing but bars, trannies and drunks but the streets to the "riverside " of Bourbon i.e. Royal , Chartres St has some major high end antique stores. Stuff looked like it was from Europe.. Bet there are some watches to be found.. If you have a car then Magazine St has some antique stores but it has lately been gentrified and now has tons of restaurants .. I know the town well so if you want restaurant and other stuff to do let me know...
