Same here I love that Chrono and quite a few others in fact. Went to try them on Saturday.
My next one will probably be the IWC Chrono LPP or this Zenith

Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.

Change up! 42mm PAM 682 Sub!
Panerai was my first real watch crush 10 plus years ago, and a 40mm PAM 48 was the first watch I bought over $3,000 or so. I have gone through a number of them over time with mostly Subs and Radiomirs, but have not owned one in a couple years (since selling the 106) in part because I was not a fan of the upsizing to 47mm cases and 26mm straps. I have owned two of the 42mm 512 Radiomirs and still love the idea of them, but they were always a little too dressy and delicate for me. I have also been a huge fan of the idea of the 243, but was always scared off by the descriptions of the weight and feel on the wrist (my blue dial 87 was one of my all-time favorite looking watches, but was just too big and heavy for any amount of regular wear). So, when the 682 was announced I was definitely a fan, even more so after I got to try on the 42mm 1312 in Vegas earlier this year and really liked the size. And then the recent DWC posting about it helped me focus back around on it.
First impressions? Awesome. the 2mm reduction in case size and the 22mm lugs make a huge difference for me in terms of comfort and wearability, but it still has plenty of wrist presence! Also, with so many of my current watches strange lug sizes (21mm Doxas and DSSDs and 23mm BPs), this will give me some room to play around with strap options.
