Agreed.I know that's weird for us watch nuts to say, as a lot of non-watch people would consider $500 a shit ton to spend on a watch; but when you can buy a decent house with the same money, it starts to become silly. Doesn't really matter what you spend money on - could be that you have 10 pairs of shoes at $2k each, but when you spend $350k on a rare pair.. it's going full retard :grin:

I can't see paying the price of what some people pay for a house even if I had the money. I use to be able to collect most vintage military watches but now collectors with more money than I got changed the price they sell for these days. So I had to changed tactics just bought a WW2 RAF mantle clock there kind of under the radar just to get my military timepiece fix. That clock will look good on the book case in the living room. I still ad a military issued wristwatch when I find one I want for a fair price once in a while but there getting harder to find.
