I think I have an extra half link and an oem IWC textured leather strap for this watch if you're interested.

... Which reminds me, I need to look around the house for them. I hope I didn't lose them. The IWC box I put them in was really small. :P

Congrats. Been on my "one day" list since I first got into watches. I had a Plastiki for a while but it was too big. The 3227 seems about perfect.

Until it needs to be serviced. IWC really thinks these movements are special. I think service cost it close to $800, which is tough to swallow on a watch that sells for $3000-3500. They are pretty though.

That's why I don't own a 3228. That and richemont's shitty service.

Hopefully this one has some life before needing a service. It was serviced a year ago by IWC. I picked it up from Mark (drster)

Ahhh I wore it a week ago here in Chicago. Beautiful. If you get the itch to sell or trade let me know! I'm thinking lately of selling or trading my Cousteau.

Works nicely on straps, too.

The one I got from Matt came on an aftermarket gray leather.

Had a black leather, too.

Yep that's the strap I have lying around, it is hands down one of the nicest straps I've ever owned. Worried that it will make me re-buy a 3227 again...

Well you're in luck if you decide to pick one up, they seem to be going for really good prices these days. drstrer sold one recently for a great price.
