Worn and Wound, first US Made Nato maybe?

Looks like the comments on youtube have been disabled so maybe people have had some no so good comments about it. I give them a huge props on this feat. I wasn't able to do it that is for sure. I do think last year Shinola actually said they had the first US Made nylon strap, but now it says US Assembled.

I was surprised they were able to get US made nylon in so many colors. I wonder how they feel. I like the accent stitch.
The hardware is nothing special, if I have to pick nits.

Worn and Wound, first US Made Nato maybe?

Ok I'm sorry I'm just going to be the dick who disses the US made product. The buckles look cheap. The stitching looks irregular. I know I shouldn't judge feel by look, but the straps look like stiff material.

I'm with Hapa. They look nothing like Terry's and look pretty run of the mill to me and look no diff than the $10 NATOs out there. Toxic and phenomenato only for me please.

Nylon is that ugly type Maratac uses where it looks normal on the inside but funny loop on the outside.
Stitching is crooked
Otherwise good effort and Made in USA is huge for me

I am as Patriotic as the next guy but I'm also not paying $42 for a NATO these days. Yes, I did buy an Omega NATO a long time ago but that was a different time and a different person back then. But still, good on them for keeping sources "local"

Props for USA made, but fail for a $42 price tag. I'm not paying that for a Nato.

Thus the problem with made in the US. We don't want to work for free. I try to buy US made wherever possible, but I definitely pay a premium. Just as an example I have 3 pairs of New Balance made in USA running shoes, and they literally cost 2-3 times as much as their shoes made overseas. I buy sweats from American Giant, again at 2-3 times the cost of what I could grab in a department store. Even with that rationale, I think I'd have a hard time paying $42 for one of these. At least buying from Terry we're supporting a US company. :salute:

I’d pay $42 if it was a fantastic strap like Terry’s Shiznit.

Was curious to hear your thoughts on this, Terry. That price tag is rough and it's hard for me to think of anything else I'd want in a strap that I can't already find in a Shiznit.

Use code REDBARCREW for 15% off. Their shipping prices still suck, though.

I think paying more is not the issue. The quality and superiority MUST be reflected also. Yes the labour cost is much higher but I for sure ain't buying if the product uses inferior quality materials and doesn't end up being the better product than the competition.

Phenomenato is $40 USD and they are really nice quality. And we know Terry's shiznits are that! The shiznit !

These straps are the same price and although i haven't handled them they don't look even close to being equal let alone superior.

Agree 100% and I should have clarified that with the US made products that I do pay more for, I feel like the higher quality helps to justify the extra cost. Looking at these natos I'm not seeing the additional quality.

I'm all for buying US goods. That said, it has to be competitive in quality, price or design.

This fails all three.

Terry's company is a US company that is also Veteran Owned. So I'm still making mine Toxic. :)

I have no issue paying $40 for a nato, but it better have quality hardware and a nice weave. These don't seem to have either.

I might have been able to overlook the stitching, if it wasn't visible while worn. Toxic straps are far better stitched.

If it didn't look like a run of the mill Maratac (which is a great strap imo) and they did something one off like cool hardware/custom punched holes/custom nylon then I would buy them. But it seems like they didn't care about that.

It's cool and all that they were able to have these done stateside, but considering you can get a Shiznit or anything from Haveston that has higher quality nylon and hardware for less....I think this is gonna be a tough sell for most folks.

As others have pointed out, the stitching is a hot mess.

Even though I can't stand that type of webbing at least Maratac is stitched straight albeit by the machine

Terry’s straps are stitched perfectly, as well. They really need to clean this up.
