Anyone recommend someone to work on TAG SuperPro?

Post by Heuerville » Mon Aug 07, 2017 7:02 pm

Argh.. this watch is pissing me off.. it's my daily wearer, I love it, and have thrown a lot of money at it.
I had it serviced by IWW, which took f**kin' ages.. but it rattled a bit, so had to send it to my trusted Heuer guy to tighten up the rotor. That took f**kin ages.

Now the tube seems to be stripped, despite me treating it with kid-gloves, as I'm aware this can happen. F**k me sideways.

I just want someone who knows what they re doing to fix this minor problem, but it's hard to find people who are willing to work on the SuperPro. :banghead:

Tag perhaps? http://customer-service.tagheuer.com/en-us/home

I've been very satisfied with their service, warranty, and online tracking.
Sent my Link Calibre 36 (El Primero) and Aquagraph there - No complaints.

Thanks. I'm not sure if the same applies to TAG USA to TAG UK/EU.. but here, they will only make repairs if the watch is fully serviced. I only want the tube/crown fixed.

Yes I understand, both were full service to make pre-loved purchases right.
Warranty on service was honored on the Calibre 36 a year later at no charge.
No one else would touch the Calibre 36, BTW.

Stew-
Suck it up and send it to Tag. I sent mine last year and they did an awesome job.
The full service did not cost that much- I was surprised how cheap it was. And they did it fairly quick.

Just checked, TAG UK charges $405 for 'standard' Auto service + parts etc. :scream:

Some times I slow down adding stuff and pay for the maintenance of the watches in the collection this is one of those years for me. But does seem the USA is cheaper than the UK for Heuer to work on there watches remember pounds are worth more than a US Dollar that's $526.78 US for a service even with Sinn not fixing my sweep hand being a chronograph service was cheaper by 50 bucks.

For what it's worth I had the exact same problem and ended up paying just under $700.00 to have the watch serviced and new crown tube installed. Tag would not do the fix without a full service. Their CS sucks and JC Biver is a scumbag.

A scumbag in the luxury watch game? No way.

Tag service was one of my top 3 service experience and I think it's priced well. I don't give a shit about the president of the company.
