As he thumbed through them he pulled out a GMT Master...cracked crystal and well worn. Naw, has to be a fake. Asked farmer 1 "how much for the fake Rolex"? "Five bucks" he answered.
Gets home and takes bracelet off...1950's rivet spring bracelet with correct markings.

He was holding a 1955-56 Rolex GMT Master with original bracelet and bakelite bezel....that he bought for $5
After he couldn't get a hold of me, he reached out to some other guys. Monday, a classic velour jump suit wearing, wife beater and gold chain clad "goombah" from NYC flew into Grand Rapids airport and handed him $30,000 in cash and a brand new Rolex Sub from his shop.
