Inbound - new manual wind

Post by Americandave » Thu Jul 13, 2017 2:06 am

So I've got a DWC purchase in the mail....it'll be the second field watch I've ever owned after a citizen I gave to a friend years ago.

More details and pics to come

Where do I start.

Opened up yesterday a package full of white dial Weiss standard issue with toxic NATO straps.

I love the size and comfort. The dial shows an almost eggshell finish. This puppy was born to be on a toxic NATO, which is where it now sits on my wrist.

Oddly, I like the signed crown and logo on the movement much more in person than in pics. It's got a real honest to goodness handmade, American style to it. Maybe it was just the video or the beer but after holding Weiss in the flesh I'm sold on the project.

Overall for the price this Weiss cannot be beat. I will absolutely be adding another colour to the stable.

I like it. Simple, hand wind, Toxic Nato, what's not to like! Can you post a pick of the case back if it's a display type?

Christ, Dave... you think you could have at least wiped the wrist jizz off the caseback and captured a nice angled shot in indirect sunlight before I posted these?

I didn't realize the amount of grey in the dial or is that not an accurate depiction of the dial in certain light?
