Bought a buckle, threw it away

Post by tattoo chef » Wed Jul 12, 2017 6:40 am

Bought a buckle from Panatime, got it in on Monday but didn't go to put it on the strap until last night. Can't find buckle. Searched the whole desk, the cabinet where I keep all watches and related stuff..nothing. Turns out I threw it away. Had a few things arrive on Monday and somehow must have dropped it back in the packaging and then later on without realizing it, went to clean up and grabbed all the packaging and FedEx packs etc and threw it out. So now a $15 buckle (+shipping and handling) will now cost me $40. It's not really the money but my stupidity that pisses me off.

Shit happens. At least it was nothing irreplaceable.

Hey Don, off topic but when are you reviewing the Helmsman 2 watch? I recall reading that you were going to?

If I had a dollar for each of the stupid things I've done over the years I'd be living a blissful retirement right now.

I've done it too. I was having dental work done and they gave me a temporary denture which I hated. Tossed it out in a pizza box. Probably drunk.

Why is it we can't share stupid shit here we do without members being condescending ? I love to bust balls as much as the next guy but I know it was not a big deal. Most things that we bitch about here are not, and this one is pretty insignificant , I was just sharing my stupidity is all, something we all have done at one time or another.

Been there and done that. I too left a one tooth denture for my lower left side 20+ years ago. I knew exactly where I left it.....in the McDonald's garbage, lol. It was too late when I found out. :banghead:
It's a beautiful world! Gerald.

I've done similar things many times..
It wasn't stupidity, just distracted

Stupidity is relative,
I had a friend who was a manager at a grease Monkey (Quickie oil changes).
A customer pulled into the parking lot screeching tires, jumped out and demanded to see the manager (My buddy).
Buddy, How can I help you sir?
Cust, Your employees are thieves! :scream:
Buddy, What do you mean sir? My staff is highly trained and honest.
Cust, I had a Folded packet of paper with 2 grams of Coke in, and one of your employees stole it! :angryfire:
Buddy, Where was it sir?
Cust, Under the front of the drivers seat! :tap:
Buddy, Well sir, you did ask for full service which includes vacuuming the floors of the car.. You are free to search the vacuum container, or, if you prefer, I would be glad to call the police to come so you can report the theft. ;)
Cust, Oh..Uh..Never mind..

That is not an accurate depiction of my fist. I have two rings on each finger, a spiked bracelet on my wrist and a skull spike Inserted in my penis for when I really get mad, I get a boner(weird huh?), and I lunge at wrong doers like wolverine in the movies but I stab them with my penis spike in the eyeball. Get it right man.

Could be worse. Today I visited the local county recycling center. An older gentleman seems to have added his car keys to the cardboard recycling compactor along with a pile of cardboard he was getting rid of. Oops.

I flung my Kershaw knife from the side of a moving train because I managed to catch the clip on something. Nothing like throwing money away.
