Black Breitling.. what are my options?
I've done a lot of digging, but there are so many models & variants, and it's confusing as f**k.
If I want a used Black (PVD-esk) Breitling, what are the best options?
I like the new 44mm Blackbird (I don't want anything over 44mm), but are there any others for around the $3k mark?

^ careful Stewart!
Hey, are you looking only a chronographs? If not, Breitling came out with a new "affordable" black composite quartz model. $2k retail, likely less "street price". Apparently the strap has quick connects and Case has built in lug bars.

Should never have sold it. I should buy one back.

One of my favorite Breitlings (next to the Navitimer World GMT). Super Avenger Blacksteel Chronograph LE (~45mm):
Re: Black Breitling.. what are my options?
I have the 48mm Blackbird Avenger and it wears smaller due to the curved short lugs. Just a little larger than my 41mm AP RO 15400 or 42mm Rolex Exp II.

Whisky has killed more men than bullets, but most men would rather be full of whisky than bullets.

I didn't know that one was 48mm. At the gtg it wore like a 44-45mm at the most. And it was a great looking watch to boot.

There are 2 versions Terry, the 44mm with red date window and a 48mm with white date window....toxicavenger wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2017 7:08 amI didn't know that one was 48mm. At the gtg it wore like a 44-45mm at the most. And it was a great looking watch to boot.

Re: Black Breitling.. what are my options?
Yeah. I tried it on for grins thinking "no way in hell" based on diameter, but damn it looked great. I prefer this one over the 44mm version - the red outline of the date window is distracting to me.toxicavenger wrote:I didn't know that one was 48mm. At the gtg it wore like a 44-45mm at the most. Re: Black Breitling.. what are my options?
A bit of a necro-thread ... but that is the Skyland LE, not the Super Avenger. The Super Avenger is larger (48mm I think) and has some red hash marks around the minute chrono sub-dial.
Re: Black Breitling.. what are my options?
Thx. I knew there was a 45 and 48, but didn't realize they had different names also. Will help the search for a new one...foodle wrote:A bit of a necro-thread ... but that is the Skyland LE, not the Super Avenger.
